Everyday operations

From order notification to completed payout

Vendors remain responsible for accurate product information, suitable packaging, timely fulfilment and clear customer communication. The exact available shipping method will be stated separately from planned integrations.

Order flow

What happens after a customer buys

  1. 1

    Order notification

The authorised Store receives the order and confirms the correct item is available.

  2. 2

    Prepare the parcel or collection

Use the recorded weight, parcel dimensions, packaging and agreed delivery method.

  3. 3

    Dispatch and communicate

Send within the required timeframe and provide tracking or collection information when available.

  4. 4

    Resolve issues fairly

Faulty, unsafe or misdescribed products are handled under the agreement and New Zealand consumer obligations.

  5. 5

    Payout

Approved commission, refunds, chargebacks or other authorised deductions are applied before payout.

Vendor responsibilities

Information needed before an item can be fulfilled

  • Accurate product weight and parcel dimensions
  • Protective and appropriate packaging
  • Rural delivery and large-item limitations
  • Clear collection arrangements where offered
  • Prompt order and customer communication
  • Secure, verified payout details provided during approved onboarding

Shipping status

Current wording stays flexible while integrations are built

StatusFeatureWhat it means
Available Current agreed shipping arrangements Each approved Store uses the shipping methods confirmed for its current OSK setup.
In development Controlled shipping profiles Products will retain parcel data separately from catalogue measurements.
Planned Vendor GoSweetSpot account A vendor may be able to connect its own approved shipping account.
Planned OSK-managed shipping option Where appropriate, an OSK account may support vendors without their own integration.

Do not rely on legacy fixed-rate wording

The new marketplace will not permanently lock vendors into a legacy OpenCart shipping model. Public wording will be updated as each controlled shipping option becomes operational.
